  • Mid-term Evaluation-MKSP: Mahila Kissan Sashaktikaran Pariyojana (MKSP) is a flagship programme of Ministry of Rural development, Govt. of India for empowerment of women farmers through promotion of sustainable agriculture practices.  Besides, it also aims to contribute for improved health and nutritional security, reduction of drudgery of women agriculture workforce and their socio-economic empowerment. SKF has undertaken the first mid-term evaluation of such a project implemented by the field partner in Pottangi and Semiliguda Blocks of Koraput District to assess the progress of the project against stated outputs as envisaged, as well as identify issues and recommend course of corrections. The evaluation also highlighted issues and challenges affecting effective and efficient implementation of outputs and their contribution to project outcomes and impact and recommended suggestion for smooth implementation and extension of the project.

  • Employability Study for Plan India: The study was conducted in Kaptipada Block of Mayurbhanj District and Ghatgaon Block of Keonjhar District of Odisha to understand the status of different sectors providing employment opportunity and scaling up of those sectors for potentially linking the youth mass for both skill and market based employment with specific interest on both job oriented and enterprising engagements.

  •       Need Assessment study of Penetration of small capacity cylinders in Odisha for Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (LPG division) Odisha State Office: The study was conducted in 15 Districts/Points of Odisha to assess the need of small capacity cylinders, especially among the Lower Income (BPL) families.

  •       Programme Monitoring and End-line assessment of Sustainable Livelihoods Project in Southern Districts of Odisha for Trocaire, Ireland: The programme has covered monitoring of seven implementing partners for a specific period to document the achievements and accomplishment of the result and finally consolidate the result by conducting an end-line assessment. It has also covered enterprise study of different rural enterprises promoted at individual and SHG level for promotion of livelihoods. The programme has a geographic coverage of four southern Districts namely Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput and Malkangiri of Odisha.

  •       Baseline study for CSR activities to be undertaken by IOCL in Sundargarh district, Odisha for Indian Oil Corporation Ltd.  Marketing Division, Odisha State Office: The study was conducted in 10 villages of Kuarmunda Block of Sundargarh District to understand and assess the available opportunities for livelihoods promotion of the poor tribal community targeting agriculture, NTFP, service sector and also identification of scope for convergence of services with ongoing government schemes/programmes like and MGNREGS, NRLM, etc. The other subsidiary secretors taken for assessment were need for supply of Drinking Water, water for irrigation, Sanitation, community health & hygiene and livelihood development opportunities in the locality.

  •       Baseline Survey on Status of Medical Equipments in DHH, Puri and other Govt. CHCs in Puri District for  Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. Marketing Division, Odisha State Office: The survey tried to identify the gaps in health infrastructure through history analysis and resource mapping at DHH, Puri and other peripheral CHCs through which the detail resources including human resources is identified. On the other hand, through FGD and KII, the status of different medical equipments, their availability, accessibility, demand and need for upgradation with new equipments is identified.

  •       Base line Survey on the status of Tribal Student’s Hostel and Mobile Medical Ambulance at Ram Krishna Mission Ashram, Puri for Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. Marketing Division, Odisha State Office: The survey tried to identify the gaps in infrastructure facilities for accommodation, training, tuition, dining etc. in the campus of Ramakrishna Mission Ashram Puri through history analysis and resource mapping, status of existing mobile medical van and the status of hostel building through spot survey.

  •       Baseline study for CSR activities to be undertaken by IOCL in the Peripheral villages of Paradeep Oil Refinery for Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. Marketing Division, Odisha State Office: The study was conducted in the peripheral villages of IOCL Oil Refinery and LPG Plant situated at Paradeep, Odisha to understand and assess the available opportunities for livelihoods promotion of the peripheral villages targeting both traditional and non-traditional vocational trades, agriculture & allied sectors, service sector and also identification of scope for convergence of services with ongoing government schemes/programmes like Urban Livelihoods programme by SUDA, VT by NSDC, etc. The study has also coverage of assessment of the status of supply of Drinking Water, Sanitation, community health & hygiene and vocational trade based opportunities for livelihood development.

  •       Knowledge, Attitude and Practices (KAP) study in the peripheries of Sukinda Chromites Mines for IMFA (Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Ltd.): The study was undertaken in 2 Blocks namely Sukinda and Danagadi of Jajpur District with the scope to identify opportunity around the community and its accessibility on different development indicators including livelihoods, Health, WASH, etc.

  •       Baseline Survey for Livelihood Promotion for IMFA (Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Ltd.): The study was undertaken in 65 villages of Jajpur and Dhenkanal districts to understand the present status of livelihoods of the community. The focus was on identification of scope for promotion of irrigation facilities for agriculture, watershed development, Scope for value addition to NTFP, etc.

  •       Detailed Project Report (DPR) for Common Facility Center (CFC) for development of Coir Sector in Sakhigopal (Puri District) and Alanahat (Jagatsinghpur) coir clusters for OCCC Ltd. (Government of Odisha) and Coir Board, Government of India: Under SFURTI programme implemented by GOI, Ministry of MSME-Nodal Agency Coir Board, Cochin. SKF has undertaken a detailed enterprise analysis including value chain analysis/development of coir products to promote a coir cluster associating 2500 poor families to sustain their livelihoods food security and income upgradation through production & marketing of coir products.

  •       Assessment study to develop a livelihood cluster in disaster prone areas of Jajpur District, Orissa for Oxfam (I) Trust, Kolkata and field partner Pallishree, Jajpur: Targeting agriculture as the primary sector, the study has identified opportunities for promotion of a livelihood cluster with focus on Women Centric Agriculture development.

  •       Impact assessment report on “Orissa Civil Society and Poverty Programme” in Mayurbhanj District of Orissa for DFID-PRIA and local partner CREFTDA, Jashipur, Mayurbhanj: Strengthening Local Self Governance for sustainable livelihoods for the poor tribal people living in the forest areas of Similipal Biosphere. The study emphasized on identification of opportunities for convergence and promotion of NTFP based activities to ensure sustainable livelihood for the poor.

  •       Diagnostic Study for cluster development of Sakhigopal (Puri District) and Alanahat (Jagatsinghpur) Coir Cluster for OCCC Ltd. (Government of Orissa) and Coir Board, Government of India: Under SFURTI programme implemented by GOI, Ministry of MSME-Nodal Agency Coir Board, Cochin. Enterprise analysis and identification of backward forward linkages for development of a coir cluster.

  •       NGO mapping in Odisha for future partnership for UNICEF Office for Odisha: Covered all 30 districts & 314 Blocks of Odisha for online NGO mapping exercise to develop future partners for UNICEF.

  •       Participatory Situation Analysis from a child rights perspective in Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar Districts of Odisha for PLAN India: The study was conducted in Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar District of Odisha on situation analysis of villages and particularly from a child rights perspective.

  •       Causes of Diarrhoea /Cholera outbreak in Odisha with a Long term solution” for Inter Agency Group-Odisha (host by IRCS, Odisha State Office):
