Promotion and Management of SHG: SKF has promoted 50 SHGs, 15 in Mayurbhanj, 15 in Bolangir, and 10 each in Khurda and Puri District. The groups are provided training on different aspects of SHG like book keeping, record maintenance, different schemes and programmes of Govt. etc. Moreover, they are also imparted training on RTI, gender discrimination, voting rights, human rights, leadership development etc. in order to instill knowledge and leadership quality within them to fight social evils.

Women Atrocity Issue: In rural areas, domestic violence and torture against women (both physical and psychological) for dowry, desertion by husband and many other cases are very usual and these distress women need a helping hand for their living. SKF supports these women and their families through proper counseling to mutually settle the problems. For extreme cases, SKF plans to start group level Income Generating Activities for their sustenance.

Vocational Training to Women: SKF is providing vocational training on preparation of Badi, Papad and Pickles, and Agarbati making in its project villages of Puri District. Till date 50 women have got training and started their own petty business at group level.
